Organizations today have access to more people data than ever, from engagement, turnover, absenteeism, performance, learning, mobility, to employee voice. The challenge is no longer simply having the data, but knowing what matters, how different data points connect, what signals deserve attention, and what should happen next.

Turning HR Data into Stories is a practical People Analytics program designed to help HR professionals move from reporting data to using it more systematically for decision-making. Participants work through an end-to-end flow: selecting relevant data, connecting multiple metrics and employee voice, identifying observable patterns, distinguishing signals from assumptions, developing working hypotheses, and translating findings into proportionate HR actions.

The program combines People Analytics thinking with hands-on application. Participants explore real HR use cases and build their own Interactive People Analytics Dashboard or Web App using their own data, creating a working environment to connect metrics, surface patterns and signals, and translate findings into clearer insights and next actions.

Key Objectives
1. Identify what data matters
Select the people data that is most relevant to a specific HR issue or decision, while recognizing supporting data and existing data gaps.
2. Connect multiple sources of people data
Read metrics in context by combining trends, comparisons, segments, cross-metric views, and employee voice rather than looking at each metric in isolation.
3. Read patterns and meaningful workforce signals
Distinguish between metrics, patterns, signals, assumptions, and working hypotheses before drawing conclusions.
4. Translate insight into practical HR action
Determine whether a signal requires further monitoring, investigation, validation, prioritization, or intervention.
5. Build a practical People Analytics tool
Develop an Interactive People Analytics Dashboard or Web App using participants’ own data to support the workflow from connected data to insight, signal, and next action.

Participants leave with a practical thinking framework, a relevant data map, identified workforce signals and working hypotheses, as well as a clearer HR investigation or next-action plan that can be applied back in their organization.
